Limited Edition prints ‘Solace in the Wind' available to support the Fertility Fund

The Fertility Funding Charitable Trust has been established to help fund fertility treatment for those in need.  1 in 4 New Zealanders will face infertility when trying to start a family.  Of those seeking help many will not be able to access treatment, due to their age or cause of infertility.
The photographed print "Solace in The Wind", by renown sculpture Max Patté can be purchased by donating $750 to the Fertility Funding Charitable Trust

The print captures Patté's most recognisable sculpture which was first sited on the Wellington waterfront 10 years ago.

Originally from the UK, Patté moved to Wellington to work at the Weta Workshop as Head Sculptor.  He describes this sculpture and the ones that followed as ‘Emotional portraits',  inward-looking and contemplative pieces that flow from his own decision to make the room and time in his life his art".
Patté originally loaned the two-metre iron sculpture ‘Solace in the Wind’ to the Wellington city for one year, then after capturing the heart of the public, it went on to win the Peoples' Choice Award for Favourite Sculpture at the Wellington Civic Trust Awards.

The print was photographed by Jenn/Jeff McEwan and a limited edition of only 75 prints have been made available to support the Fertility Fund.

Patté's work has gone on to be a preference of notable art collectors around the world including Sir Ian McKellan, Charles Saatchi, Stephen Fry and Sir Peter Jackson.  Other pieces of Patté's work can be found on Sir Michael Hill's Arrowtown golf course.
